Our classrooms are buzzing with the sound of sewing machines and creative energy. From mastering pattern making and garment construction to exploring design innovation and business skills, these women are learning more than a craft, they’re building enterprises and futures free from exploitation.
For so many women in Homa Bay’s fishing communities, fashion design is a gateway to dignity. Every hem sewn, every dress created, is a step away from the dangers of sex-for-fish and a step toward sustainable livelihoods.
