Hairdressing Classes Resume

The quiet hum of focused practice has returned to our hairdressing studio. 🪑💇🏾‍♀️

Our newest cohort is hard at work mastering the art of cornrows, learning tension control, sectioning, and pattern precision on mannequin heads before transitioning to live models. These foundational skills are essential for anyone hoping to build a career in protective styling and braiding.

For the women in this room, every perfected braid represents more than technical ability. It represents economic independence, a skill that travels with them, allowing them to earn from home, a salon, or even mobile braiding services.

In communities where sex-for-fish has long been the default safety net, a pair of skilled hands can change everything.

Welcome to our 2026 cohort. We’re so glad you’re here. And to our partners, we thank you. 💙
