Power to Youth is a 5 year advocacy program that is implemented in 2 sub counties (Dhiwa and Rachuonyo North) in year one. The program seeks to build agency for girls and create opportunities for them to meaningfully engage in all decision in relation to addressing harmful practices like teenage pregnancies, Sexual and Gender Based Violence, Child Marriages and Female Genital Mutilation. Â
It is a brand-new global programme that has been approved by the Dutch ministry of foreign affairs to be implemented in seven countries including Uganda, Kenya, Senegal, Ethiopia, Ghana, Malawi and Indonesia. Globally the programme is coordinated by three partners- Amref Flying Doctors, Rutgers and Gender Justice (Sonke), 
Power to youth long term outcome AGYW from underserved communities are able to claim their rights, address inequalities, challenge social norms and advocate for inclusive decision-making.
